Tracking Changes With Microsoft Word

If you are trying to work with Microsoft Word and track changes while you edit, you may need some help. Look at the online page designed to do just that at Microsoft for some tips. This is also a great resource for writers who get documents back from an editor with suggested changes. Regardless of which side of the desk you are on, this is a resource you won’t want to be without.

Be aware with track changes that you page view affects how the tracking is displayed. Personally, I prefer page layout style because it is less cluttered; I have also expirimented just turning off the visible tracking while I’m working and turning it back one when I’m done. There are many tricks to play with the “View” menu to get it looking just how you want, which may help you get passed the hassle of a poorly programmed feature.
I like page layout too–for the same reason…
Great tips–thanks!
